Its oh so cooooool!

Several weeks ago I had shown you some note cards I had made. Today I can show you the other design I made.  Judy received these as a Mothers Day gift from her daughter Shelly.  Since they had the initial J on them didnt want Judy to see them and figure out they were for her.  She got the package this week so now I can share these with you.  They were fun and quick to put together.  Think that this may be a great Christmas teachers gifts.

Here are just 3 of the designs.  I made 10 note cards using red/black/white.  I had 5 papers and made 2 of each.

Hi everyone:  today we had our new a/c and heat unit installed.  They arrived about 9:30 so until they finished around 3 we had no a/c but now...wow...it is nice and cool.  Thank goodness for floor and ceiling fans.  They kept us pretty comfortable.  Monday Ken goes in and has a cast made for his permanent leg.  The one he has now is considered "temporary" because it has the titanium post.  But the permanent one will have "flesh" colored covering over the whole leg and will look more like a leg.  So this is exciting cause it means that Ken has done really well and the stump has healed completely and very well.  We have been very blessed with the healing and there has been no infections or other problems.  Thank you Lord!!!  We are also gonna see about a waterproof leg that he can wear in the shower.  That will be really nice for Ken.  Sunday is Fathers Day...so hope everyone has a wonderful day.  Remember to call your dad and let him know you love him and appreciate all he has done for you.  Plans are to take Ken out on Sat. for his Father's Day dinner.  He hasnt let me know where he wants to go yet....he said something about Amarillo....but he was joking (or at least I hope he was!!! LOL).  Love to all.  Ken and Glynda:)

Happy Sunday to all

Good afternoon to all our friends and family.  Since the temp is rising to 100 we wil be staying inside the house today!  I have been on a HUGE cleaning spree.  The garage is 50% emptied out!  I have the first batch being picked up tomorrow to be hauled off then I will start on round 2.  Think it should take me about 3 rounds to have it completely empty.  WOW - the first time since the day we moved in.....only 17 years ago.  Then the next big project will be to clean out and empty 2 spare bedroom closets.  Stuff has been packed away since we moved in and now is the time for it to alllllllll be gone.  Ken is concerned that if he sits to long in one spot....I will put him out on the curb!  (LOL)  After cleaning out and re-organizing my shop it really got me in the mood to "clean" out and get rid of.  By the time I finish I will be a pro and cleaning out.  My dad has been having some cervical problems and needs to have surgery, but now he has re-injured his lower back (he had surgery a few years ago)  and will be going in for an MRI on it this week.  He is going to need surgery in this area as well as he is losing strength and use of his right leg.  Once he gets this scheduled we will be heading to Tyler to be with daddy and mother.  I dont know if they will do lower back and cervical at same time, or if he will have to have 2 separate surgeries.  Please keep my folks in your prayers and thoughts.  Hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday and a great week.  Love and hug those close to you.  Love, Ken and Glynda :)

...and so summer begins!

This is the only pic I got of Kitty that was not a BLURRRRRRRR!  She just zoomed around so fast.  After the graduation ceremony all the "graduates" walk thru the halls and around the school.  Here the walk had just started and I got a quick snap.  She looked so great in her little black lace dress.  MooMoo is so proud of you sweet girl.

Here is a pic of the proud parents - Cherry and Jason.  Next to Cherry is her dad Randall (short sleeve shirt).

Madison standing in line waiting to go on stage and get her certificate.  Doesnt she look like a movie star!

Here is a pic of momma and daughter.  They are both so beautiful!

Happy Monday to all.  Can't believe that school is out and summer time has begun!  Didn't school just start?  Last Wed. Madi graduated from middle school and will enter high school this year.  Kitty graduated grade school and will enter middle school this year.  Wow!!!  We are in the midst of having a whole new a/c heating system installed.  They came out Friday and gave us the cost...ok, there goes summer on the yatch.  Oh well, the exsisting unit is only 28 years old...guess it is time to put in a new system.  Just waiting now to find out when they will be here to start the work.  I really started feeling my age this past week when I heard from Julie Berman...wife of the Ortho surgeon I used to work for.   In Aug. he will celebrate 30 years in practice.  I went to work for him in 84 - 27 years ago.  Just does not seem possible.  I swear I am not older than 30 myself!!!!!  I am busy working on the 3 tiered wedding cake - about 1/2 way done and I will post pictures when I get it done. Ken is scheduled for June 30 to have his cataract removed from his right eye then he will go in several weeks later for the left eye.  I told him the bad thing about having this done is that he will see how old I actually look....Been trying to convience him I still look 40!!!! ok, ok, that I still look 50.   Enjoyed having you stop in for a visit.  Hug those close to you.   Love to all,  Glynda and Ken :)

HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY!

Happy Memorial Day to everyone.  I hope you all have a very special day.  We want to take a moment to thank everyone who has served in the armed forces to protect our country and our liberties.  Thank you is a very small word but know that we appreciate all you have done.

I was asked to make some note cards for a gift.  Here are a couple of pictures of them.  I will not show them all as it will identify the receipent and I dont want them to know its them until they get the gift.  Once they have been received I will show them all.

Here is my garden for summer 2011.  I had hoped to have a real garden this year but the broken heel pretty much nixed that idea.  I have two pots of tomatos and 2 pots of green bell peppers

I already have 2 tomatoes and 2 more tiny ones forming on this plant.  The other 2 in the yellow pot have not bloomed yet so no tomotoes yet.

This is my first bell peppers to grow.  Anxious to see how they do

Miss Kitty joined me on the porch last nite while I was enjoying the cool breeze - think she was enjoying it as well

Life is pretty quiet around the Moon household these days.  We have been without a/c for a week but the repairman will be out tomorrow between 12 ande 5!  Yahoo.  With the windows open, the ceiling fans on and 2 oscillating fans going it hasnt been bad. Ok, not great - but tolerable.  Mornings and nites have been nice, but between 1 an 7 it has gotten a bit warm!!!  I have been out in the shop doing a bit of work...its a/c is working great.  I have had several projects to work on so its nice to be out in the shop.  We have a busy week next week.  I see the ortho doc on Tues. and hope that he gives me a good report and I will be released from his care.  I still have some issues - swelling, some pain, but he had said in March that it would take 6 to 8 months.   Then on Thurs. Ken sees the eye doc for some distortion and blurriness in his left eye.  We will also be scheduling cataract surgery on his right eye.   On Wed. Kitty graduates from grade school (5th grade) to middle school at 8:30 and then at 1 Madison graduates from middle school (8th grade) to high school.  It is so hard to believe that next year Cherry will have kids in grade school, middle school and high school.  Seems like yesterday that Cherry was in grade school....

Ken has been in hog heaven this weekend.  He had car races on Sat. and 2 - yes 2 on Sunday.  He watched the Indy 500 and then we both watched the Nascar race.  I was so excited when it looked like my driver Greg Biffle was gonna win!!! It would have been his first race to win this year.  But at the last minute he was running out of gas and had to make a pit stop....and then 2 more drivers ran out of gas at the finish line!!!  It was an exciting end for sure and kept us on the edge of our seats until the end of the race.

Wishing all a safe and fun day.  All our love,  Ken and Glynda   :)

Hello Everyone!

I am making end of year Teacher gifts.  These are notebook/pencil cases.  I have made 14 but these are pics of just a few of them

More of the teacher gifts

Here is a view of the inside with the note pad and pencil.  I wanted to put pens in the case, but I could not find pens that are 5" long.  These are 5" long mechanical pencils.  They worked just perfect

This is my latest antique shopping find.  Its a drip-a-lator.  A very early version of the coffee maker.  You put coffee in a basket inside the pot and the metal part that shows is where the hot water goes.  The hot water drips down thru the grounds which then drips into the pot.....in other words....a non electric coffee maker.  It works really well.  It would have been the holy grail if it had been a Jewel Tea Ware drip-a- lator.  I havent found one that I can afford.  They are on Ebay - but not in my budget!

Here is Lily skating away at her 9th birthday party.

Here is Madi at the party - she is such a beautiful young women.

Lily is all smiles - she was having such a good time
Ah, sisters!   Making funny faces and "bunny ears".  They sure did ham it up for the camera

Well it is hard for me to believe that it is 3 weeks since I last posted.  I dont know where the time has gone.  It has been pretty quiet around here.  We went to Tyler this week to visit my parents and to visit with Ken's sister Margaret.  It was a good visit with both.  I got to go antiquing with mother and daddy....one of my favorite things to do.  They took me to a new place and I had so much fun.  I got the drip-a-lator coffee maker, a piece of Jewel Tea Ware and an enameled double boiler (had been looking for one for a while).  The antique shop they took me to is difinitely one I will return to!  They had a great selection and most items were reasonablely priced.  Thats always a good thing.  We have had 2 nice rains here.  Once a week ago on Thurs. and again on this Fri.  It was much needed here.  I will even have to mow because of it.  Thats a good thing.(I think!)  The only problem with the drought is that the bees have taken over  my hummingbird feeders.  They are looking for nectar and since there are no flowers for them to hit they have turned to my feeders.  I had to take them down since I cant sit on the porch anymore because of the bees and wasps.  Once I took down the feeders they went away.    Tomorrow (Monday) Ken and I celebrate our 29th anniversary.  I cant believe that 29 years have come and gone.  WOW!  Its been a wonderful journey.  Hope we have lots more.  Its also been a year since we started the long journey that ended with Ken's amputation.   Its not the end we had hoped for, but Ken's health is so much better once we got the infection out -  Well, thats all from here.  Love to all.  Remember to hug those you love.    Ken and Glynda :)

Lookin' like a party and loads of pictures

Lily is having her 9th birthday party on Sat. These are her party favor gift bags.  The bag topper says "Have a sweet celebration".  The bags are filled with a bottle of bubbles, gum, laffy taffy, M&M's and stickers.  They were sure fun to make...hardest part was keepin' Uncle Ken out of the candy!  The next 2 pics of different views of the bags.

Yep, thats glitter on them there party hats....cause we know Moo Moo cant make anything with out a touch (or more) of Dazzling Diamond Glitter!!!!!

Sorry for the glare.  Just wanted to show a close up of the bags.

Lucy was not happy that her momma had gone shopping without her.  I had emptied out the Hobby Lobby bag when she got in it and got her head stuck thru the handle and was trying to walk while trying to figure out why was the bag coming with her.  She was toooo funny.

Miss Kitty was up in the pecan tree earlier this week while I was sitting under it.  Not sure what she was licking - think it was her paw.  She had climbed up way to the top and was working her way down.

Miss Kitty thinks that the bird feeder and bird bath are her "Luby's Cafeteria".   There are 2 birds on the ground and it is taking every fiber of her being to stay still and not go leeping at them.  When I am outside I make sure to scare the birds away when she is in the attach mode.....and had already done so twice.  So guess she figured to just watch the birdies.

Think she is thinkin' "Ok, if I maintain this pose and stay really really still the birds will not see me and will come in for a drink....then I can pounce!"  She stood here for several minutes just staring at the water in the bird bath.

And last but not least, one more hummingbird pic.  Yesterday I was sitting out in the yard just under the hummingbird feeder.  One came in to feed, and I was able to look up and snap this picture.

Hi everyone:  what a wonderful Sunday.  Church was up-lifting and then a cold front came in.....dropped the temp to the low 60's.  OMG- how wonderful.  But still we have no rain.  We are praying for rain like everyone in Travis County, but we dont want the horrific storms that have hit Ala. and Ga.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone and to our family and friends that live in those areas.  We had a quiet week this week,  but this next week is a busy one.  Ken has an appt. on Wed. for cardio-vascular doctor to have study done on left leg.  He's having some swelling and we cant seem to get it to resolve itself so our family doc wants him to see cardio-vas doctor.  Sat. Lily is having her 9th birthday party at a local skating rink.  You can bet that Moo Moo will NOT be on skates.   On Sun. we will go to our grand-daughter Rachael's dance recital.  So that will be a busy weekend for us. Fun, but busy.  As I was telling friends Sat. we must get children.....cause we are taking way to many pictures of the "girls" (aka cats).  But they make us laugh so much and give us oh so many photo opportunities....so hope you enjoy the pics.  All our love.   Ken and Glynda :)

Happy Easter

As you all know, Miss Lucy loves to be on the table with me each morning as I have my quiet time or read.  Well, the morning of this picture  I walked around to tell her to get down and as I did she yawned oh so wide...looks like he is telling me what she thinks of my idea!  Oh, I am so proud of the way I am treated by the "children"....those of you with cats know exactly what I am talkin' about.

Here is a picture of Scott and his dad taken Sat. at their house.

Here is Caelynn and Rachael the birthday girl.

Rachael was surprised with 2 full cans of silly string.

Caelynn

Rachael

This afternoon while I was preparing our dinner I looked out the kitchen window a road runner had come up to the edge of the porch.  I grabbed the camera and got this picture.  It ran off before I could get any more.

We wish each and everyone of you a very blessed and happy Easter.  What a wonderful day as we take a moment to thank our Lord for the resurrection of his Son.  We had a wonderful weekend.  Saturday was our grand daughter Rachael's 10th birthday.  We went over for a family celebration.  Today was a quiet afternoon.  Had a lovely morning at church and then we enjoyed an early dinner here.  Looks like a busy week so really enjoyed the quietness of today.  We are still praying for rain.  The ground is oh so dry.  For those of you that don't live here - there was a ban on outdoor grilling and even smoking at the local parks and state parks this weekend.  Its that DRY!  We so need the rain.  So for those of you that are enjoying rain....please share it with us and send it this way.    All our love to all,   Ken and Glynda  :)

Ken celebrates his birthday

Ken turning 73 - he is still my hunky hunky.  His beard may now be white, but he is still the man I fell in love with and married.  Love you sweetie.

Ok, can you get any more relaxed than this?  Ken was asleep in his chair, and guess that Lucy decided to join her "dad" in naptime.

Here is my attempt at taking a picture of the moon.  I tried to take it thru the trees so thats what you see  on the right side of the pic.  My camera is not a fancy one with nite time options.

Monday Ken celebrated his 73rd birthday. We enjoyed a quiet day and then went out to dinner at SaltGrass Steak Restaruant.  We had a great dinner, both enjoyed a glass of wine and topped it off with cheesecake (a birthday gift from the restaruant).  Thank you SaltGrass.  We went over to our neighbors house on Sat.  They were having a crawfish boil/fish fry.  We went over about 5 and had lots of good eats.  They had lots of zydeco (??? spelling) music and then around 6:30 a live band began to play.  We stayed until 8.  Since Ken was in his off road vechicle (his power chair) we knew we needed to leave while he could still see the ground and not run into a hole somewhere.  We were all laughing that since the music was so loud would any of the neighbors call the police....well, 1) we dont have police in Webberville and 2) all the neighbors were at the party so we were all okay.  We got to visit with everyone and just sit, eat and listen to good music.  Sunday Ken's sugar was low (in the hi 50's) so I stayed close to home.  After a good breakfast he felt better.  We spent the afternoon enjoying the race.  OMG- What a finish.  Just knew my boy, Greg Biffle was gonna pull it out....but alas, no.  I spent the afternoon working on paper roses for Sept. wedding.  Punched out and started on the first 36 roses.  Going quicker than expected.  All our love to everyone and thank you all for phone calls and cards.  Ken loved them all.    Ken and Glynda :)

Yahoo - spring is here!

Here are the Easter baskets I made for all the girls this year.  Disclaimer....Cherry - dont show these pics to the girls...want it to be a surprise!  I had bought really cute metal baskets this year with cut outs around the middle, but they didnt work as I had planned so hit my stash for these...so love my metal can stash!

I used the test tubes that I used for Halloween.  Filled them with Star Burst jelly beans in pastel colors.

I just love using these cups on projects.  Here I filled the cup with M & M's and used as the center of my spring flowers.  I covered the back of the cup with foil, so makes it a lot easier to get at the candy (I usually use card stock) then hot glued the flower to a candy stick.  Looks good enough to eat!!!!!!!

This is just a little fun poke for the basket.  The egg is done in Dazzling Diamonds glitter - gotta have glitter!

Last but not least - a carrot.  Thank you Valita (valitasdesignsandfreshideas) for the idea.  I had already decided to do this carrot, but could not come up with greenery idea for the top of the carrot.  Then I visited her site and - oh yes - that's what I wanted.   The basket was then finished off with a cookies and cream bunny.  Hope the girls will enjoy.  The Easter bunny will be making his delivery on Thurs.

Good Saturday morning to everyone.  Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and hope you enjoy time spent with those you love.  Its been a semi quiet week here.  I got out on Thurs. and did some weedwacking and some mowing.  Then I decided to tackle (and tackle is a very good choice of words!) the 4 shrubs along the back of our house that are in front of the bedroom windows.  Now they are "scalped", cut way way back, and our bedroom is actually 10 times brighter now that light can get thru!  Course this means I have one huge burn pile, and right now we have not idea when or even if we will be able to burn this year.  The last time I had a huge pile it was almost 3 years before I could burn.  I may look into renting a wood chipper for a day and just mulch it up.  Sure I can find a use for the mulch.  My foot is getting stronger every day.  I push myself on it, but the doc said to keep doing whatever it was that I was doing cause it was working....so I am.  That's not to say that at nite I pay for it, but thats okay, cause I am on it more every day and pushing it to the limit.  I took Lily to a Dr. appt. yesterday.  I picked her up at noon, then we were thru about 1:15.  I didn't take her back to school, instead we went to the mall and walked around for about 45 min. window shopping  until the movie  RIO started.  It is such a cute movie.  We laughed all the way thru it.  Then we finished up the day with ice cream and was the perfect way to end a perfect day and week.  I am starting to work on roses for Billy and Mitzi's wedding.  I will post pics in the next few weeks, but will not post picture of actual "cake" until after the wedding.  I want it to be a surprise.  Better go for now.  Chores are a'callin me.  Love to all.  Ken and Glynda :)

What a glorious Sunday

Here is a close up of one of the hummingbirds sitting in our tree.  He's the bladk spot towards the top of the picutre....I really had to   zoom in to get him.

Now he's coming in for a landing on one of the feeders.

Proud of this close-up.  Those little wings are really flappin'

Landed safely and time to eat.

Good morning everyone.  I was not so gently awaken this morning at 6:30 when Miss Kitty and Miss Ethel decided to go at it thru the window....talk about a lot of catter-wallowing!!!!!  Ok, Ok, I am up!  But after my feet hit the floor and I went out to enjoy my first cup of coffee with Miss Kitty while she had breakfast God sure did give me a great show.  The sun rose oh so brightly, and the critters were out in full force. The small bunnies are out and enjoying the fresh grass to nibble on.  I watched the very fat possum waddle across the back yard, climb the fence post and head over to my neighbors yard.  Miss Kitty decided she would follow it, but I was able to change her mind and keep her up on the porch.  The barn swallows are back in mass.  The cats love to sit at the back door and watch them...we call it their "kitty TV".  Ethel tried to climb the glass window the other day to get to them.  So now until fall my front and back porch will be messy from them.  The hummingbirds are back and spend a lot of time in the early AM feeding.  Hope you enjoyed the pics I took this morning.  I had to stop putting out bird seed for a while.  As soon as I fill up the feeders these black birds (dont know what they are) swarm the feeders and within a few hours they have emptied the feeders.  The cardinals, dove and other small birds get nothing.  So will wait a bit to put out food again and see if maybe they have moved on.  Things are pretty quiet here.  We are waiting to hear when my dad has back surgery.  He has an EMG on April 28 and then will follow up with surgeon in a week.  Guess that then they will discuss type of surgery and when.  Ken is doing pretty good.  He did not sleep well last nite and this morning I could not get him to wake up (or once awake to stay awake.)  Finally got him up and to the table about 10.  His sugar was low (82) but not dangerously low,so this and lack of sleep last nite, he just falls asleep as soon as he gets still for a few minutes. Know that today will be a sleepy kinda day for him.  Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying this beautiful day.

Spring is here.....

Hi everyone!  It is truly feeling like spring is here.  We had a couple of days where it was chilly but yesterday was 93 - so guess its more like summer is here instead of spring.  Today is cooler.  Everything here is covered in a layer of green pollen...oh so nice.  I am gonna get out today and do some yard work.  With my foot feeling so much better I am taking it easy but doing what yard work I can.  Know I will need some help around Ken's shop but think I can do the rest of it.  My dear friend Tina came out Thursday to spend some time with us before she moved to Colo.  Her daughter Claire flew in from Denver last nite, we picked her up from the airport at 11:45.  Came back to the house to get some sleep  and they headed out today  (driving) to Tina's new home in Greenwood Village (just outside Denver).  Yesterday Tina and I got out and "played".  We went to see HOP and then Tina got to do some shopping and use some gift cards she got as a going away present.  So we saw a movie, shopped, enjoyed some good coffee and just enjoyed out time together.  I am so sad to see her move but so excited for the adventure she is starting.  I went to the ortho doc on Tues. and got a good report.  I go back in 2 months and if all is well, that will probably be my last appt.  I just have to remember my foot is still tender and I will have to baby it for about 6 months, but at least I am wearing regular shoes and walking with out walker or cane.  Ken had to go to the doc on Mon.  He is having some swelling of his left leg which causes watery blisters to form and then they burst.  I was afraid that we were heading down the path we started 2 yrs. ago, but no.  The doc gave him an antibiotic to take just in case, but found no evidence of infection.  The leg sure looks a lot better today, still swollen but blisters are all gone and open blister healing up.  We also took his power chair in to see if we can get it lowered some.  It sits so tall that he cant get up under a table.  They can do some modification and lower it about an inch and a half.  Not a lot but maybe it will help.  Since the chair was built just for Ken it is just a tall chair.  My dad is going in for surgery on his back - cervical area.  Not sure when.  He goes to see the neurosurgeon on Fri. and will find out then.  I know he doesnt want surgery, but he has lost so much strength and use of his arm that he cant put it off.  Thats about it from here.  Guess I will get busy and go outside to work.  All our love to all.   Ken and Glynda

A wonderful birthday

Hello all:  I want to first thank each and everyone of you for the birthday messages, well wishes, cards and phone calls.  You all made my birthday extra special and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.  I love each and everyone of you.  Thank you all for making me feel extra special.  I slept in till 8 - any later and the cats are nudging me to get up cause they want their special morning treat!  I thought if I laid there long enough they would serve me breakfast in bed - but nooooo, so I got up, made coffee, looked at the paper and thought they would still make me breakfast, but alas NO.  I did enjoy a wonderfully relaxing day and at 5 we went to dinner at Texas Land and Cattle - one of my most favorite places to eat.  I even went wild and had a glass of wine with my dinner.  We topped the dinner off with a huge warm brownie with ice cream.  I really did waddle out to the car!  It was oh so worth it.  Was the perfect ending to a perfect day.  I spent most of it on the phone, but thats what made it so much fun.  I got to spent time out in my shop on Tues. and got all our Easter cards done.....yahoo.  Now I can start to work on a very special project for an upcoming wedding (Billy and Mitzi!)  and another  project I have been wanting to do.  Having so much fun now that I have 2 legs to walk on! and no wheel chair!  We are gonna have to take Ken' s new power chair in to see if we can get a cushion that is not so thick.  Right now he can not sit in it and fit under a table.  So to eat he has to sit far away from the table.  I will take it in next week and see what they can do...sure hope we can change out the seat cushion or the whole chair can be lowered some.  Ken is engrossed in MI-5 a British TV series about spies....not sure he even knows I am in the room....he loves this series.   Our love to all, and again, thank you all for a great birthday.  Ken and Glynda

Spring has sprung!

Good glorious morning to you all.  I went outside this morning to feed our little Miss Kitty (outside kitty) and while enjoying the wonderful morning with here and some quiet time, I had my first hummingbird come up to the feeder for the season.  So I ran inside (ok, I wabbled - not ran) got the food and filled the feeder.  I havent seen it back yet, but at least I know they are on their way.  Then when I went out front to get the paper I noticed that I had my first iris bloom and several more ready to bloom.  I feel like the dark dull days of winter are over!!!!  I had a really nice weekend.  My sister was in town so got to spend some time with her on Friday along with Lily and Kitty.  Then Sat. I spent time with my dear friend Tina (who is moving to Colo. on Apr. 2)  and then on Sun. I joined her for a going away brunch given in her honor.  Course while I was out playing Ken was at home OD'ing on basketball games and NASCAR races.  Not sure he knew I was gone (LOL).  You women know what I am talking about.....  Over the next month I am planning on working on some 3-D flowers to be used on diffenent projects.  Will post as I get them done.  I have done a rose and amazed how it turned out.  This site that I go to - well the lady does unbelievable work and her methods make something that looks oh so hard, well she breaks the steps down to make it easy.  Thats it from here.  Ken is doing well.  Still some problems laying down to sleep so he is now sleeping in his new power chair.  He can lean it back like a recliner.  Our love to all.  Ken and Glynda :)

Happy St. Patty's Day

Here is Ken's new hydraulic lift on the back of the van.  It works real slick and sure makes my life oh so much nicer. We still have to have load shocks put on the rear so it doesnt drag when the chair is on.

I have loaded the chair and we are ready for our first outing with the chair.

I just wish that when I took a nap I could sleep this soundly.....she is dead to the world!

I have been making some pins - these are made from soda cans and cut out with my die cut machine and are multi layered so they are dimensional

Top of the mornin' to you all.....ok, thats about as Irish as I get.....all is quiet around here.  We have had some great weather mixed in with a few cold ones.  But I think that the cold is pretty much gone for now....yahoo......  We had Lily stay with us this weekend.  I picked her up from school on Fri. and she stayed with us until Sun. afternoon.  It was such a delight to have her visit.  We watched movies and just relaxed.  Since I cant get out and do a lot we had to stay kinda quiet.  We made pizzas Fri. nite and on Sat. it was MooMoo Garden (aka Olive Garden).  It was a true Italian weekend.  Kitty went to New Orleans Fri-Sun. for a Cheer meet.  And this week Madi and her mom are in Calif. to see a doc regarding her arthritis.  My dad is having a procedure next Tues.  He is having an injection into his spine to see if they can pin point exactly where the problem is.  There are 3 or 4 bad spots on his spine so this may be a trial and error approach until they find the exact spot so they will know exactly where to do surgery.  Ken is doing pretty good.  He had fallen out of bed in his sleep back on Feb 28 and hurt his back...think he bruised a rib or pulled something.  Since then he has not been comfortable laying down, so he has slept in the chair everynite.  Hoping he will be able to come back to bed soon.  Know he is tired of sleeping in his chair.  Well, you are up to date on the Moon household.  Hope all have a great week...and hug/kiss those you love.   Love to all   Ken and Glynda :)
